What is the status of an apostate in Jewish law - does it approximate to the status of a Jew or a non-Jew? This Chaburah considers the question of the apostate's status in the context of the Ribbis (usury) laws, the laws of Shlichus (agency), and the interaction between them. It both considers parallels between these areas of law and what occurs when they intersect.
